Sustainable Commitment

Nature as a Way of Life

Aware of the richness of their terroir and the natural resources it comprises, Nathalie and Jean Vignier embrace this potential. The estate spans 16 hectares of vineyards spread between the Côte des Blancs and the Côteaux du Sézannais. Biodiversity conservation and the use of vine-growing practices that respect the ecosystem govern the management of the land.

The House continues its commitment to sustainable agriculture, a path it has been following for many decades. Since 2018, it proudly presents its HVE (High Environmental Value) level 3 label. This label implies “the promise to integrate and develop biodiversity through the operation and minimize inputs*.” This certification reflects the entire coherence of the vineyard’s environmental policy.

Sustainable Production Cycle

With a vision for 2030, the Vignier-Lebrun family sets objectives in terms of sustainable production and ethics. They pursue this commitment with the support of suppliers and collaborators. The goal is to reduce the carbon footprint by 2030. The entire production cycle has been rethought to move towards reduced plastic usage. The use of recyclable and recycled materials aligns with a sustainability mindset.

Champagne Paul Lebrun is also a company that values knowledge transmission. The House is committed to making the necessary efforts to ensure a conducive work environment and personal development for its employees and collaborators

Innovation in Service of Sustainability

Champagne Paul Lebrun aims to share its expertise in connection with innovation. With this in mind, it supports co-development projects with French and local companies. This approach creates distinction and optimizes perspectives. The Champagne brand does not need to be reinvented, but change gives it a broader scope.

At the dawn of 2023, projects related to eco-design have come to life. Furniture made from recycled corks has been created to give a second life to our cork stoppers. This project holds meaning for Champagne Paul Lebrun as it aligns with a circular economy. The EOS company from Épernay is our official partner in this eco-collaborative project, supporting the employment of people with disabilities.

Champagne Paul Lebrun is particularly aware of the growing digital presence in the wine and spirits industry. Therefore, the House has developed an experiential project focused on introducing people to the tasting of their range.

Smartbottle, a Bordeaux-based startup, is our partner in creating an application to highlight the expression of our cuvées. Professionals and individuals will have the option to download the app and scan the label of each cuvée using augmented reality technology. This co-development project will enhance the tasting of our Champagnes through the unique aromas of the house’s chardonnay. The experience will be initiated step by step through the digital prism, transforming the wine discovery into an exceptional experiment.

The apprehension of aromas present in our cuvées will become an easy art, a game, but with a discerning professionalism. The history of the House will be interwoven into the initiation.
