The essential cuvée captures the stylistic markers of our vineyard. The Champagne signifies the family’s epic journey. A predominance of Sézannais, tempered by Côte des Blancs, magnifies the duality of the two juices. The blend combines several vintages. From the very first whiff, the indulgence of this Champagne captivates attention. Its aromas of nougat, roasted hazelnuts, pistachios, along with macerated clementine, mandarin, and orange, declare themselves delicately. On the palate, they are complemented by almond powder and light citrus notes.
Nose
The nose is fine and intense, revealing orchard fruits, ripe and fresh, such as apple, pear, and peach. With a delicate veil of autolysis suggesting fresh bread, the nose is also accompanied by an exotic touch of pineapple over fresh almonds.
Mouth
The entry is clear, without austerity, straight in its freshness, with a juicy heart imbued with creamy and tonic bubbles, offering a certain density from the lees ageing. Between ripe citrus and an evolving tempo towards apple, peach, and almond, it presents a subtle firmness that channels it towards a sapid finish, where citrus zest and a saline hint persist. A beautiful harmony between the texture brimming with liveliness and the youthful scents, yet with a certain seriousness. Best kept under cork for another 3-4 years.
