The personality of this exceptional woman is subtly expressed. The delicate fragrances of the Champagne evoke the idea of perfume, oscillating between white flowers, bitter orange, jasmine, and other nuances. Not overpowering, they enhance the potential of the Grand Cru from Côte des Blancs, tracing the art of the terroir in the chalky lands of Cramant. Cuvée Marie-Louise reflects authentic and intergenerational savoir-faire. A quality, a style that remains unique, a representation of Paul Lebrun’s identity. A chardonnay, a Grand Cru, a promise: Passion as Heritage.
Nose
In its pale golden case, the nose appears mature, softer in its fruit (compared to the non-dosage version), and still youthful. It exhibits nectarine, ripe pear, and pineapple, with a background of fine autolysis evoking bread-making.
Mouth
The entry is smooth, ample, and digestible, with dosage subtly suggested, balancing its structure and acidity, which provides a fresh and lemony sensation, without austerity. The patina of ageing is only hinted at, and the palate offers much youthfulness, a sensation of crisp lemon skin, with a tactile rather than zesty dimension, wrapped in silkiness and tiny light bubbles. The sapid finish carries notes of fresh almonds. Its surprising youthfulness and present harmony bring pleasure now and will likely continue for a decade.
